In this role, she leads the Commission staff and 50 person Commission member body to hold community events and produce annual policy recommendations to the State Legislature and 18+ state agencies. Excitingly, the Commission has grown over the last fives and secured a $300,000 increase in the Commission’s FY21 budget. TEF assists with homelessness prevention, shelter assistance, nutrition assistance, prescription co-pay assistance, transportation and escort to medical appointments, etc. All services are contingent on the availability of funds. In May 2021 I joined the BTC team as a consultant to facilitate the Coalition for a Truly Affordable Boston (CTAB), which includes 15+ housing justice organizations fighting for a stronger Inclusionary Development Policy (IDP).
